- Student requirements
- Every student must have access to a piano. If digital, the keyboard must have all 88 keys as well as weighted or hammer-action keys. This is necessary to mimic the feel of a real piano.
- At the start of lessons, we will discuss books to aid in your piano learning. These are not deducted from piano tuition and should be purchased promptly by the student/guardian to ensure a smooth transition into lessons.
- Schedule
- For the most part, I follow the Dysart public school system for dates of breaks. See the attached page for the calendar with all dates.
- While I am not often sick, I reserve the right to reschedule lessons if necessary for my own health.
- Payment
- Payment is due at the beginning of each quarter. I will send an invoice to the email you provide when they are due.
- Tuition is considered late after the 5th of the month, and a $25 late fee will be applied. With multiple late payments, I reserve the right to suspend lessons.
- As my studio continues to grow or I gain more certification, tuition rates are subject to change.
- Missed lessons
- Rescheduling within 24 hours is only in cases of illness or emergencies and is available for make-up at 7:00 pm and 7:30 pm on weekdays. Bad traffic, work conflicts, and mixed-up schedules are not excused. One free absence is built into the payment each quarter.
- Piano requires diligence, and multiple absences take away from learning. Please make every effort to attend lessons as it is the best way to improve your piano skills.
- To allow some flexibility with scheduling, I will send out a master schedule and contact list for swapping lesson times. Only people who consent to giving out their information will be added to the list. Students/parents are responsible for contacting and scheduling swaps on their own.
- Discontinuation of lessons
- Any discontinuation of lessons requires 30 days notice.
